Quadrennial Environmental Audit – Marine Terminal

Blackbird was retained by the Board of Directors of a large 29 hectare bulk marine terminal located in Vancouver’s inner harbour to complete a combined envrionmental compliance and EMS quadrennial audit. The objective of the audit was to determine compliance with relevant federal, provincial and local environmental regulatory requirements, as well as to determine if the terminal’s EMS was aligned with ISO14001:2004. The terminal handles a variety of bulk products from across Canada including coal, potash, agricultural products and canola oil in excess of 11.4 million tonnes per year.
