BC Wind Farm – EHS Compliance Audit

For a large power company, Blackbird staff conducted the health and safety portion of a combined EHS compliance audit of 142-megawatt wind farm located in British Columbia. The site consisted of 79 wind turbines and has a 25-year Electricity Purchase Agreement to supply energy to BC Hydro. Health and safety issues reviewed included, among other items: confined space entry, electrical safety, fall protection, hazardous materials storage and handling, emergency washing facilities, first aid and contractor management.
