Development of ISO14001:2015 EMS

The development of ISO140012015.

Blackbird was involved in the creation of an ISO14001:2015 EMS for a marine terminal operating in Surrey, BC along the banks of the mighty Fraser River. The terminal is the largest modern, multi-purpose marine terminal on the West Coast of North America, serving the needs of Container, Breakbulk, Project Cargo, Forest Products and Bulk customers in the Port Metro Vancouver and around the world since 1962.

Blackbird completed an EMS Gap analysis, and then developed an EMS that included an EMS Core Manual and various internal training programs. The EMS was structured on ISO14001:2015 and work included updating the Environmental Policy, creating an aspect and impacts register, establishing a legal and other requirements register, assisting in setting environmental objectives, developing missing policies and procedures and then creating internal EMS training programs.
